Some explanations for sewing beautiful personalized bibs . It may seem like that long because I have any detailed, but there is nothing easier.

Size: 25x32 cm (recommended by a mom warned, I accept responsibility on this one!)
Supplies:
- terry: the size of the bib + seam allowances
- cotton fabric (not too thick) for the lining: the same amount through
- : 80 cm
- falling cotton appliqué
- double sided fusible for appliqué
Step 1: Cutting
- Draw the pattern: in newspaper, cut a rectangle about 25cm 32cm . In the middle of the width, scoop out a half circle 10 cm in diameter. Round the corners. Nothing compulsory, but it will facilitate your good neighborly relations ;-)
- Pin on the toweling and cut into 1 cm margin laying around, except at the neck to be cut flush.
- Repeat on the lining fabric.
Step 2: Applied
- Draw a pattern not too complicated, and cut in paper. If the bowls family bear interest, you can download the image by clicking on the link.
- Reporter contours of the pattern on the paper side of fusible Double-sided (note the direction of the pattern it is important). Cut roughly around.
- Fusing the back of falling cotton with the iron. Redraw the outline carefully, without removing the paper.
- On part of sponge, place the ground, identify the location with pins, remove the paper behind the appliqué and fusing in place with an iron. For parts of detail (like here inside the bowl), I superimposed on the bottom piece. I think it's cleaner at the connections.
- Set the sewing machine zigzag very short (usually I set the stitch length to 0.5 mm and width of 2 mm) and stitch around the pieces. It's always a bit tricky to rounding, but just take your time. Steph, I exchange readily applied to a TP cons of English grammar course ;-)
Step 3: Mounting
- If you want to mark your work a small label, it's time. The pin on the location of terry cloth (inside, see photo).
- To prevent the liner from appearing on the site, I "clip" with pins above the sponge, so as to shorten the piece a few millimeters. That way, when you remove the pins, the lining is slightly narrower than the above shall remain hidden behind.
- Overlap the two pieces place against place, poking at 1 cm from the edge.
- Notch the corners, turn, press.
- Pin bias around the neck by pulling a bit on it. The bias has the peculiarity of being extensible, but not shrink ... then as the party that is stitched to be longer than that will be at the crease, it must stretch a bit to avoid it gondola.
- poke through the fold, flip and fold by hand.
- Topstitch to maintain links via closed.
