Dry Rot At A Front Door

cartery

I feel it is difficult to hold myself to update this blog this year ... I'll do the best we'll see. In the meantime, here's a map drawn at a wedding this summer.

Bouille thank you for the stamp!

Very simple, but I liked him like that, with my inescapable : Lace, button, beige.

Thanks Steph for the ribbon!

And no, I do not rake the extent of offering 7 cents to newlyweds (the small concealed tape a penny a little more consistent) ... but these small pieces beautifully illustrated citing Bénabar (click on the link to listen to the song p'tite) that I had chosen and that I love:

"Happiness is that is not bullion, but Big Money "

1-3 Minute Movie Quotes

Flower child

Last books this summer, " flower child," a Norah Gaughan pattern which I had flashed a long time ago. With some modifications, because I do not wear short-sleeved pullover.

The construction of this sweater in a star is really interesting, and I found that the back has as much effect as the front.

All made in a wire 70% silk / 30% linen, very pleasant to work and wear.

Changes

English translation here (Ravelry)

I know of at least one stick to it once it has style, then a small dot on the changes (more or less happy) I made. Sorry if I'm not clear ... maybe he should have tried to understand what I tell ...

For starters, pay attention to the size , it seems that size very large. I had a sample that corresponded roughly, and I had to size 1, while the 3 seemed more consistent with my measurements.

The model proposes to knit front and back in 5 pieces each that are then sewn. I do not like sewing to knitting, I knit the back round just to make that one piece . But for the front, had to be opened. Everything was done in a room too, but I had to knit in round trips, not round. So, I did not have the same sample, and I found myself with a little more before ... I somehow tried to make up for it by adding two vertical stripes on the sides (we see them the first photo). A
again, I think I would start from the front, and I'd also back in return trips, even leaving a seam assembly.

Otherwise, the installation of mesh , I preferred a provisional cast on and knit a couple rows in front of the same round. I was able to properly close the heart of the flower and the center of the star from the wire mesh mounted in 5.

To lengthen the sleeves , I did short rows instead of cast off the shoulders. When I reached the desired size for the sides, I passed from front to back on the same needle, so as to avoid a seam under the arms. I continued to knit in round trips until the drawing was not finished, then I folded mesh shoulder to 3 hands, as I learned in my knitting dragon, and ended in circles by making some steady decreases.

Oh, and I replaced 1x1 rib by rib 2x2.

short, I spent time, for sure. But the bottom line is that I'm almost satisfied with the result!

Straight Weaves With Bangs

Neck Top U.S.

A small cotton voile top, sewn in early summer heat wave, and very little given here because they were short-lived.

The boss was completely pumped on one of my favorite neighbor, but adapted to my measurements. I who am not a big fan of the color (ahem) I flashed on this board. Really light, very pleasant.

history that this message also brings you something, I want to show you the finish armholes. Often, the armholes are finished with facings, or bias. It's pretty, but it tends to stiffen the edges a bit. On the thin fabric like this, here is another method, discovered in the magazine Threads . It's stupid, it's very clean and very fine.

The method is in pictures in the article entitled 3 Finishes Neat Ege pour la Sleeveless Styles of Summer . And how do you finish your armhole usually?
